Good day Marines,
I hope this email finds you healthy and safe in this crazy world in which we live today.
This is an important reminder that the clock is ticking and there is only 17 days (NLT 1 June 2020) remaining to have your application for one of the open officer or director positions submitted to the Business Manager for the upcoming elections.
Please do not procrastinate on submitting your package to be considered for the offices of Vice President or a member of the Board of Directors. The closeout date is 1 June 2020. We appreciate your interest and need your participation.
The Bio’s for the candidates who apply along with the Ballot for voting and proposed ByLaws Ammendment’s will be published in the Summer Mestengo the middle of June, so please watch for this important Mestengo issue.
We will announce election results and conduct swearing-in of our new officers/directors at this year’s annual Muster in Washington, D.C. from August 11-16, 2020. Attendance at the muster in Washington, D.C. is not a requirement for office, but it is a great opportunity to look behind the scenes and connect with your fellow Mustangs.
As a reminder, we are holding elections for Vice President, and five (5) Directors. The Bylaws, found in the member’s area of our website www.MarineCorpsMustang.org, outline the position requirements and duties.
Submitting your application for an officer or director position requires that you are:
- A current member in good standing
- Willing to discharge the duties of your new position
Please submit a 125-word statement of interest (approximately) for the position you are applying for and affirm your willingness to serve. Please include a recent photo.
Email your statement and photo to BusinessMngr@MarineCorpsMustang.org NO LATER THAN 01 JUNE 2020.
Ballots will be sent via email, Mestengo, and will be accessible on the MCMA website at https://marinecorpsmustang.org/muster/. The ballots will list the names of the candidates for each position up for election.
I invite you to attend the next Board of Directors’ Meeting via conference call to be held in July 2020. This will introduce prospective officers/directors to the scope of the Board of Directors’ meetings. Candidates may reach out to the Secretary@MarineCorpsMustang.org to receive the call-in information to this call during July. I hope you will take advantage of this invitation.
Candidates may request a copy of the Continuity folder for the Vice President or Director positions. Send your request to Secretary@MarineCorpsMustang.org indicating the position of interest.
This is your Mustang Association. It is time to step up and accept the challenge of being a leader in the Marine Corps Mustang Association.
Please feel free to contact any of the officers/directors or me personally if you want to discuss an officer or director position in more detail. Thank you for your personal, continuing, interest in this matter and your Mustang Association.
We do need your participation...
